Beach Umbrellas are constructed with two piece poles for ease of transportation.  Most screw style, and other anchors, only hold the bottom pole of the umbrella, leaving the top section insecure.  Many instances where people have been injured, the top section of the umbrella separates from the anchored bottom section, becoming a more dangerous projectile traveling faster, and harder to stop than if the bottom pole is attached. The anchored bottom pole will remain in the ground proudly providing no protection.

The Shade Anchor secures both the top an bottom sections of the umbrella.  It has an easily adjustable clasp which tightens the harder it is pulled.  Wrapped around the center umbrella pole above the runner, in 2011 we put a Shade Anchor out in hurricane Irene which reported in 70MPH winds.
